Silk bandage dress--Love it or leave it

I have a love/hate interest in this dress from Victoria's Secret. This is a copy of an Herve Leger that I saw recently on some celeb (can't remember who it was). The dress is sexy but I am not big on the sleeve bit. But this is a great deal at VS for $88 and believe me they do look like the real thing.

Trend Alert: Kaftans

It's summer and now it's time to roll out that seasonal favourite--the kaftan. No not those tacky things we wathcing Helen Roper wear but the cool and colourful but oooh so trendy ones that have been making a comeback every year lately.
Here's a story from Latina Magazine--Read on: http://www.latina.com/fashion/trends/trend-alert-caftans

Royal Ascot Ladies Day

Another day at Royal Ascot, big crazy hats and fabulous fashions. I love these looks. If only we could do something as silly in America.

What's your tribe? Here are my results.

Label Lover

Seen in the pages of Heat every week, the Label Lover sure can shop – as long as it’s for labels. Big, showy, statement labels that are the international currency of status for those who aspire to better themselves, superficially at least.

Label lovers wear the key garment from each new collection, the talked-about little top, the hyped heels, the super-skinny jeans. For her, each is a point scored in competition with another fashion slave.

Sometimes, this tribe is also known as the disciples of Beckham, because this is the ultimate fashion temple at which they worship.

Shops at: Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Louis Vuitton, Prada Sport, Gucci, Dolce and Gabbana if they’ve got the cash, Karen Millen and Jane Norman if not.

Looking forward to Mary, Queen of Charity Shops

I am really looking forward to watching this new show on BBC2 tomorrow night. It's called, Mary, Queen of Charity Shops and apparently it's supposed to be a new version to her other Mary, Queen of Shops.
Volunteering with Oxfam and always checking out a charity shop I wonder if this show will boost Britain's decline in charity shop donations.

Jumping into jumpsuits

Jumpsuits- I have seen a few really nice ones but some just look a plain mess. There’s a cute black halter jumpsuit that Helena Christensen wore recently to a big NY do.
I remember jumpsuits but barely. I had a comfy long sleeve khaki one as a teen and loved it. Some of the ones I have been seeing on celebs are just plain ugly and not worth the money or the headache of trying to fit in.

There are the shorter playsuits (yeah I recall that tacky white one I had to wear to take pics in when I was five). I’m feelin’ the strapless one worn by Rachel Stevens and that of Eva Longoria looking quite comfy.
